Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information FERN JEWELRY collects when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. The legal name and address of the business responsible will be published here before online checkout opens.

Information we collect

• Orders: your name, email, shipping address, the items you buy, and order totals.
• Payments: handled entirely by our payment provider on its own secure page. We do not receive or store card numbers.
• Messages: what you send through the contact form.
• Technical data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and secure the site. We store only one-way hashes of IP addresses for rate limiting, kept for about one day.
• Your bag: stored only in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a page reload. It is not sent to us until you check out.

How we use it

To process and ship orders, send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping updates, refunds, and order links you request), answer messages, prevent fraud and abuse, keep required financial records, and handle returns or issues. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We do not add you to marketing emails.

Who we share it with

• Our supplier (Trendsi), to fulfill and ship your order: your name, shipping address, and the items ordered.
• Our payment provider, to process your payment and refunds.
• Service providers that host the site, database, and email delivery (Cloudflare, Supabase, and our email provider), under their terms.
• Carriers that deliver your package, via our supplier.
• Authorities when required by law.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Notice.

Retention

Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes (generally 7 years). Private order links expire automatically (24 hours for emailed requests, 180 days for confirmation links). Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. Server logs and rate-limit records are kept for short periods.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law. Residents of some states have additional rights; we will honor them as required. Email hello@fernjewelry.com. We will verify requests before acting on them.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrators, and limited access to personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We will post updates here with a new "last updated" date.
